Costa Rica Biodiversity – One of A Kind!

Simply stating that Costa Rica has rich biodiversity would be an injustice to the reality at hand. Instead think of it this way: with less than half a percent of the world’s landmass, this tiny country boasts of the densest biodiversity seen in any nation around the globe.

More than one-fourth of the country’s landmass enjoys protected status in the form of forest preserves, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

Wildlife Sanctuary – Visual Treat, Surreal Experience And Educational!

Tucked away in the cover of the Costa-Rica’s thick forests, you’ll find our wildlife sanctuary is a short drive from the nearest hotel. Our natural yet partly enclosed habitats have anywhere from 65-90 different animals and birds of varying species, colors and sizes. Because we are primarily a rescue, rehabilitate and release organization, the number of animals that can be found in the reserve fluctuate too.

It is also a great place for children and adults alike to learn about nature by seeing it function, up close. We regularly hold educational excursions for schools and groups from within the provinces. So, if you are interested in visiting our wildlife center as a group then feel free to contact us beforehand and we shall arrange for the rest.

Volunteer And Donate

Passion and selfless dedication is the secret to our tireless commitment towards preserving the biodiversity of Costa Rica. And volunteers play an integral role in ensuring our good work for the fauna of the region remain unaffected. If you want to volunteer for our organization, then we encourage you to attend our workshops to get acquainted with the rigors of sanctuary life.

You can also donate to our cause. Being a not-for-profit organization, we work closely with the local government ensuring wildlife and forest preservation laws aren’t tampered with. There are different ways in which you can help us financially. Contact us to know more about this part.
